SC Work Injury Reporting: Why You Shouldn’t Wait the Full 90 Days
Video Transcript
The law in South Carolina requires that you report a work-related accident or injury within 90 days of the event. This timeline may not be the same as the employer’s requirement. Most companies want work-related injuries reported immediately or within at least 24 hours. Even though the law allows up to 90 days, you should report the work-related injury as quickly as possible to start the workers’ compensation process and secure your initial medical care as quickly as possible.
