How many cases go to court?

Will My Personal Injury Case Go to Court? Attorney Morgan Drapeau Explains

Video Transcript

The real question is, what do you mean by “go to court?” Some people associate the act of filing a lawsuit as going to court. The truth is, however, many lawsuits are filed and the plaintiff never has to walk into a courtroom — while others associate the phrase “go to court” with a trial. It would be impossible to tell you the exact number of suit claims that result in a lawsuit being filed. If I had to guess, I would say somewhere around 50 to 60% of suit claims result in the filing of a lawsuit. How many of those lawsuits result in a trial? They say less than 1% of lawsuits. The really important question is not how many cases go to court, but rather — am I hiring an attorney that can represent me if I do need to go to court? When you hire Goings Law Firm, you know that every attorney in this office can give you the best representation at every stage of your case: pre-suit, in suit, and in trial.
