My name is Cedric Cornelius. I joined the military after I graduated from high school. I went into the Army. I actually stayed in the Army for an additional ten years. I made it all the way up to the rank of staff sergeant. At that time, I wanted to make a change, see what I could do in the civilian world. The wheel and tire industry that I was actually getting involved with. Some friends of mine who used to work for me had asked me about it. I said, you know what? This is something I might like to try to do. Roughly around September of 2021, I left my store. I was a general manager at the time, at the location I was working at, and I had to go make a run, so I just picked up the wheel. I was heading back to the store, right, going down Beltline Boulevard, getting ready to cross over the road. As I crossed over to that intersection, the only thing I knew at that point was that I was out after waking up, and I realized that somebody had run a red light and run right into me. And as a result of that accident, I had so much wrong. It was so many different things from my neck injury from my back, my arm, my hand. I also had injuries on my leg as well as my ankle as well, so I still got scars on my body right now. It changed my life dramatically after going to the ER and they determined that I needed further treatment. I was trying to think about just taking care of myself.

After I talked to some people, they was telling me, they say, look, you know, the medical bills are going to pile up on you. You need to really get involved with somebody that can probably help you, because I wasn’t getting the help that I needed. My advice to anybody that’s been in an accident, any type that’s involving workman’s comp, you need to definitely talk to an attorney. My recommendation would be the Goings Firm because I actually work with them. And I’m not telling you this just to say this, and they’re not paying me to say this. I’m telling you this because it’s a fact. Workers’ comp is not for the people at all. They just try to settle it, get you out of the picture as fast as they can. If you don’t have an attorney who’s fighting for your rights and fighting for you to get what you fully deserve, you’re doing yourself an injustice.
