Hurt on the Job & Ignored by Employer? David’s Story
Video Transcript
Hey, I’m David Dowey. I’m from Lugoff, South Carolina. I’m 34 years old. This year while installing a windshield for a major company, practicing properly, how they taught me how to do it. When coming around the front of the hood with the windshield in hands, I felt and heard a loud pop come from my right shoulder to the point where I lost all strength in it while installing this windshield. I told my supervisor about it, but I felt like they were dragging their feet. Stuff was getting pushed and they were like, oh, he’s okay, he’s okay. So I got in touch with the Goings Law Firm and they’ve gotten fire up under their feet. They’ve gotten in touch with people I haven’t been able to get in touch with that I feel didn’t care about me as a person or my well-being. So the Goings Law Firm, they have taken a lot of stress off of me. My last time with the injury out of state, where I had to do everything and then come to the Goings Law Firm and I don’t have to do anything. They take care of me, call me. They text me with any type of information, they check up on me and it just feels like it’s a family. They look at me as a person, not just a profit. Everybody — Jennifer, Kelly, Christian — they’ve all been amazing. I just want to thank them for everything they’ve done and I’m glad God put them in my path to sit there and help me out with my situation. And if you need anybody, a good lawyer, to help you out with any type of workman’s comp issues, give them a call.
